Sloppy Champagne

I went to Steamboat Springs this past weekend for a snowboarding trip. There were 8 of us and we were stoked to try out some of their "champagne" powder. Well, lady luck was not with us. It was raining when we got there Friday night. It also rained Saturday night. Sunday morning it was 32 degrees at 8am. We decided to head to Summit county instead, and got better powder at Keystone. This may be lost on folks not familiar with normal Colorado ski conditions, but this is a very unlikely scenario. We still had a great time, but it was a bit of a bummer that the snow was all heavy and stuff. At least there was some new snow - it was much needed after a week of nothing. Plus Keystone is finally ridable! This is very good news :).

The Sickness

Yup. I got the sickness. A nasty head cold that probably went sinus infection. It's been almost 3 weeks but it's clearing up. I probably didn't help the cause since I went snowboarding 5 times in there. And running. And trying out my new bike trainer. And belly dance class. And yoga. Hmmmm. I think the only thing in there that was helpful was the yoga. I guess I'm just determined to not miss out on anything.

Snow Bender

Happy New Year!

I'm coming off a two-three week long snow and boy bender. I now have 19 days and a snowshoe in and it's looking like I have found a boyfriend. It was a fabulous end to 2008 and great start to 2009.

I noticed that I don't really have any New Years resolutions. I am doing so much stuff right now that there's no room to shove any more goals in there and stay sane. I think that means I'm doing it right :).
